Having completed his specialist training (CCT) in 2019, Dr Shome has worked as Cardiology Consultant at multiple hospitals in the UK. He has mastered advanced procedures such as Complex Coronary Angioplasty. Chronic Total Occlusion, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation / Replacement (TAVI / TAVR) through Fellowships at high volume centres such as Morriston Hospital, Swansea.

Training (2006 - 2019)
In 2004, Dr Shome started his 21 year career at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi. In 2006, he moved to the UK to pursue higher training at the Liverpool University Hospital. There, in 2011, he was registered by the General Medical Council after passing his MRCP(UK) exam. Dr Shome then began his General Cardiology training under the Northern Deanery of National Health Service (NHS). He Completed his MD (Research) in 2017 from King's College London. He then completed his Interventional Cardiology training in 2019 and was registered as a specialist in Cardiology by the General Medical Council (UK).
