Doctor Joy Shome started his 21 year career at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi, in the year 2004. In 2006, he moved to Liverpool to pursue higher training at the Liverpool University Hospital.
He began his Cardiology training in 2011 under the Northern Deanery of National Health Service (NHS). In 2019, he successfully completed his training and registered as a NHS specialist Cardiology Consultant. He has worked as a Consultant at multiple hospitals since then.
Mentored by the likes of the great Dr. Adam de Belder and Dr Dave Smith, Dr Shome has performed over 2000 procedures of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) as the first operator. And, over 700 procedures of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation / Replacement (TAVI/TAVR).
